Our CO2 Laser Mirrors are precision-engineered optical components designed to maximize the efficiency and durability of your CO2 laser system. We offer two high-performance variants: Gold-Plated Silicon (Si) Mirrors and Molybdenum (Mo) Mirrors, each optimized for specific applications and operating conditions.
Gold-Plated Silicon Mirrors feature a high-reflectivity gold coating on a polished silicon substrate, providing exceptional reflectance at the 10.6 µm wavelength typical of CO2 lasers. The gold layer ensures minimal absorption and superior beam quality, making these mirrors ideal for applications requiring precise beam control and low power loss. Their excellent thermal stability supports consistent performance under moderate power levels, with the added benefit of corrosion resistance thanks to the gold plating.
Molybdenum Mirrors, by contrast, offer outstanding durability and thermal conductivity due to the intrinsic properties of the Mo substrate. These mirrors excel in high-power, industrial laser environments where heat dissipation is critical. While their reflectivity at 10.6 µm is slightly lower compared to gold-plated mirrors, their robust mechanical strength and high melting point make them suitable for demanding, continuous-wave laser operations and harsh environments.
Selecting between Gold-Plated Si and Molybdenum mirrors depends on your system requirements: choose gold-plated for precision and maximum reflectivity, or molybdenum for enhanced durability and heat management in heavy-duty applications.
